Mission Call

Wholy Moly!! I cannot believe how long it has been since i have updated this blog.

Update: I'm going on a mission!! Crazy right? I never thought this day would come, but i turned in my mission papers December 14,2010. It took only a handful of people to open my eyes and get my priorities straight in life. I felt the strongest impression to read my patriarchal blessing one night. So i went home, read my blessing and realized i need to change some things in my life and i knew i was supposed to go on a mission. So, my papers were submitted a month later, i got my call a week and a half later.. and now, i am going to Lisbon, Portugal!!!!! I get to speak Portuguese and i enter the MTC on May 18th. It is about a 4 and half month wait, however i know Heavenly Father is making we wait so long for a reason. I am definitely being taught patience. Every day seems so long and i am just dragging.. But i have a lot of good prepping time.

Heavenly Father has used a couple of people in my life as instruments for him to help me get to this point. I am grateful to be a part of this gospel and share my testimony with the people of Portugal.. Ahhhhh.. It still hasn't hit me yet.

I'll make sure to update this more before i leave. I've got a trip planned with my best friends to visit every temple in Utah in the next 2 months. Yahoo :)

Halloween Time

Can you believe it's fall? I can't!! Halloween is here in one month.. One month! I'm so excited. My sister Drew loves Halloween and she has gotten me in to the spirit. Can't wait for many things to come this fall.

Camping in Mona

Last night was incredible. My best friend Cassidi, Adam and I went to Mona, Utah for an over night camping trip. The weather was insane. It was pouring rain, then cleared up, then lots of lightning and thunderstorms. It was the most beautiful view and regular camping will never be the same or even measure up.

We didn't get to the camp site until about 10pm and had to set everything up in the dark. HA HA It was pretty much pitch black and raining. Adam was the smartest one of the crew and brought a lighter for the fire that didn't work. We didn't eat dinner over a campfire.We sat in the tent eating crackers and fruit and played Uno. BUT, It was so much fun. I was freaking myself out because the wind was blowing and the cover on the tent would hit the windows and i seriously thought someone was creeping on us. We didn't get to bed until it was pretty late. AND Adam decided to wake up at 7am (butt crack of dawn!!) and drive to Nephi to buy matches. We had hot dogs and marshmallows for breakfast. It was yummy. Then, we went to the lake/ pond with a rope swing and hung out for about 2 seconds and left.

The next camping trip is going to be just as amazing!

Baby Isla

SHE IS HERE... ISLA FINALLY CAME.. She was born in July 13, 2010 at 7:50pm. She weighs 6lbs and 14oz. She has dark black hair, big lips, I'm sure she'll have blue eyes, and she is gorgeous. I'll post more pictures soon, but this is what i have for now. I'm such a proud auntie.

Oh The Car Shopping

Car shopping is ridiculous.. I have been searching for 2 weeeeeeks. WHY!!! The only thing that has gone right.. Is the fact i could get the car sales man to take down the price of a car from $15,000 to $10,000. Amazing right? I thought so.. But i am going to make him wait all night and until tomorrow because i have a few more cars i need to check out and test drive. I would love a Nissan Altima or a Maxima.. But only the 2005 to 2007 models. I hate that i lean towards the expensive cars, when i know i can never drive them. Ha ha Like a Range Rover, Audi, Infiniti, BMW. Life is just oh so hard. May has been a month full of adventures and spectacular stories.. I'll make sure to post all about it when i have time. Love to you all.

Muse Concert

I LOVE MUSE!!! They were killer in concert and i have been listening to them and only them for the past 2 weeks. They definitely put on one amazing show. I heart them.

21st Birthday

I had the most wonderful 21st birthday. I don't know how i have been so blessed with so many amazing people in my life. My birthday was celebrated all weekend because my actual birthday fell on a Monday, which is kind of lame. Saturday night i went to dinner with a bunch of girl friends at Porcupine Grill. I met a new friend and his name is Nathan. He's a Brit and so cool. I adore him and loved his accent. I met him through a mutual friend.. Kind of a long story.. We hung out all night and i showed him pretty much the entire Salt Lake Valley. It was so nice to meet him. Then on my actual birthday I went to school, then work and on my desk was the best surprise. My co workers bought a twilight poster and put my face over Bella's. Ha ha It's only funny because i don't care for Twilight as much as i used to. It's a faded stage in my life now. Ha ha It made me laugh. My sweet CB (cubical buddy) had some roses on my desk and she gave different guys roses through out the day to bring to me. I was sang to in French, kisses on the cheek, hugs, a birthday rap and even old friends came and got me for lunch. It was so sweet. After work i met up with Drew and Tanner and we went to the Muse concert. IT WAS SO FREAKING AWESOME! They were great live. It was like i was listening to their album. Muse and Coldplay are tied at the number one spot for best concert ever.
